About LienForm

LienForm is a free mechanics lien document generator for contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers working on US construction projects.

What We Do

When a contractor or supplier doesn't get paid for work on a construction project, a mechanics lien is one of the most powerful tools available. Filing a lien attaches a legal claim to the property title — the owner can't sell or refinance until the debt is resolved.

LienForm makes it straightforward to generate a legally correct lien document bundle. You enter your project details, we generate the complete set of documents pre-filled with your information and the correct statutory citation for your state.

Why We Built It

Most mechanics lien templates online cite outdated statutes. California's old §3082 was repealed in 2012 — competitors still cite it. Texas updated its monthly notice requirements via HB 2237 in 2022 — most templates don't reflect this. Michigan amended the Construction Lien Act in 2023 — old forms are wrong.

LienForm was built to close that gap: current law, correct citations, role-aware deadlines, and county-specific filing guidance — in one place.
