What the service provides

The mechanics lien workflow uses the information you enter to produce a claim draft and supporting pages. It offers state-aware deadline information where the entered facts support a calculation and flags some rules that need manual verification. It does not independently verify the contract, property ownership, unpaid amount, licensing, notice compliance, or legal entitlement to a lien.

Current coverage and price

Paid mechanics lien tools are available for Arizona, California, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, and Washington. Florida has a separate Notice to Owner tool. Each costs $24.99 per purchase. Recording fees, service, postage, and legal advice are separate. See the current tool directory before choosing a product.

The Illinois, New York, North Carolina, Colorado, and Florida mechanics lien pages are guides. They do not offer new state-specific lien generators. Read the property-state guide even when no paid product is available.

How to use the guides

Each state has its own combination of notice, filing, and enforcement requirements. Compare the guide with your project role, property type, contract date, and source records. Follow official-source links for statutory text and check local administrative procedures with the appropriate office.

A date estimate is a planning aid. Owner contests, recorded completion or termination notices, tier-specific requirements, and other events may change the analysis. Build a calendar with separate entries for notice, recording, service, and litigation rather than relying on one countdown.

Preparation is one part of the workflow

Use the form checklist before entering information. After download, review the form and required warnings, arrange any proper verification, and complete filing and service yourself. The site does not record documents or represent claimants in court. A lien can be challenged even after the recorder accepts it.
